    Hello. I purchased a Starling 2 Max development drone and when attempting a first flight test I discovered that one of the batteries arrived entirely dead. I was curious if there was a way to receive replacements, and if this falls within replacement territory. I contacted the support email and was directed here. I can provide more information if needed.

    Hello everyone, I am looking for some expert advice on a VOXL 2 companion computer setup for a long-range platform. I have two main integration challenges: Challenge A: VIO at Higher Altitudes To solve the motion blur and pixel density issues at higher altitudes, I am planning a 6-camera configuration. I want to use 4 downward-facing sensors (2 daylight + 2 IR) equipped with narrow-angle lenses, alongside 2 standard wide-angle sensors (front and rear). Could you advise on the best supported sensors (e.g., IMX series) for this? Has anyone successfully tuned the voxl-qvio-server for narrow-angle lenses, and what were the altitude limits you achieved? Challenge B: LAN Integration & WireGuard The payload data flow will be: External RTSP Camera -> Ethernet -> VOXL 2 (WireGuard encryption) -> Ethernet -> Digital RX. Because VOXL 2 lacks multiple LAN ports, I will need a miniature industrial Ethernet switch. Does ModalAI have any tested hardware recommendations for this? Furthermore, what is the best practice for routing this VPN traffic through the VOXL 2 Ubuntu environment without bottlenecking the CPU? We are currently evaluating the VOXL 2 for a broader fleet deployment and want to ensure the ecosystem can support this custom optics requirement. Any feedback on off-the-shelf solutions or standard configurations for this use case would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    @relevinsky What do you mean by LTE server / client? LTE is a cellular technology that will provide your Voxl flight with Internet access.

    Our VOXL platform is ModalAI's core business, so that is where we focus our support. The m500 uses VOXL Flight. You can find all of the supported connectors to VOXL Flight here. From those connections there are many ways one might connect a secondary platform.

    @Jae-Park Correct, I’d your team didn’t explicitly purchase it then you’ll have to order it from https://www.modalai.com/collections/voxl-add-ons/products/voxl-usb-expansion-board-with-debug-fastboot-and-emergency-boot

    Hi @modalab , Thanks for the information. So, will you design a compatible landing gear for gimbal? I saw there was a gimbal purchase option on the website but disabled. I also saw the below link of the gimbal: https://docs.modalai.com/voxl-m500-gimbal-user-guide/ I am wondering if the team will make a higher version of landing gear in the upcoming release? I am also interested in the landing gear of the upcoming Flight-RB5. https://docs.modalai.com/Qualcomm-Flight-RB5-datasheet/ It looks like a lower version but more stable, and I am wondering if this landing gear will work for the current m500?

    No, beta flight is not supported. PX4 is fully supported. ArduPilot support has been added by the ArduPilot team, but not fully integrated at ModalAI

    @Eric-Katzfey said in Set static IP on ModalAI M500: @vmassague You can try this: https://www.howtogeek.com/118337/stupid-geek-tricks-change-your-ip-address-from-the-command-line-in-linux/ Is there a way to set the static IP permanently? I saw that in the WiFi guide you recommend reserving the IP in the WiFi router, unfortunately that's not an option for me.

    @shaul-Kutner I'm not sure I understand your question. The Voxl application processor is running Linux which is a virtual memory system so applications have nearly unlimited memory to use. In terms of non-volatile storage you can see the partitions with the Linux df command: / # df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/root 2.8G 1.9G 906M 68% / devtmpfs 1.8G 0 1.8G 0% /dev tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm tmpfs 1.9G 8.8M 1.9G 1% /run tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup tmpfs 1.9G 4.0K 1.9G 1% /var/volatile /dev/sda2 2.2M 80K 2.0M 4% /persist /dev/sda3 58M 40K 57M 1% /cache /dev/sde12 12M 4.1M 7.4M 36% /dsp /dev/sde11 95M 33M 63M 35% /firmware /dev/mmcblk0p1 15G 5.6G 8.3G 41% /mnt/sdcard /dev/sda9 15G 138M 14G 1% /data And for RAM you can check out the Linux /proc/meminfo file: MemTotal: 3861320 kB MemFree: 3144828 kB MemAvailable: 3377772 kB Buffers: 18844 kB Cached: 229416 kB SwapCached: 0 kB Active: 246908 kB Inactive: 212448 kB Active(anon): 211300 kB Inactive(anon): 16984 kB Active(file): 35608 kB Inactive(file): 195464 kB Unevictable: 0 kB Mlocked: 0 kB SwapTotal: 0 kB SwapFree: 0 kB Dirty: 0 kB Writeback: 0 kB AnonPages: 211144 kB Mapped: 50512 kB Shmem: 17196 kB Slab: 87524 kB SReclaimable: 31308 kB SUnreclaim: 56216 kB KernelStack: 9744 kB PageTables: 2624 kB NFS_Unstable: 0 kB Bounce: 0 kB WritebackTmp: 0 kB CommitLimit: 1930660 kB Committed_AS: 2012136 kB VmallocTotal: 258998208 kB VmallocUsed: 68020 kB VmallocChunk: 258812108 kB

    Hi @mohammednaveed , It seems I couldn't access the log of the crash anymore, because I didn't put sdcard to save the log. I also updated the firmware after the crash, so the previous logs were wiped out. Anyways, I will share the log next time if I get crash again. Thanks.

    @JoeC Seems like it is an SD card issue. I was able to recreate the problem when using a SanDisk Extreme 32GB card. But when using a SanDisk Ultra 16GB card everything works fine.

    @czarsimon omx has a very limited set of input formats. I would add format NV12 (or NV21) to your caps filter in between videotestsrc and omx.

    I believe you should just be able to clone boost and perform a make install inside the docker. You can then save the state of that docker so you don't need to repeat that step later.
