    Hi team,
I just noticed that the new m500 landing gears have been moved from the end of the wing to the middle parts. I am wondering why you recently made this modification?

Since my first flight was crashed the day before yesterday (2 landing gears broke), I found that the landing gears placed at the end of the wings might be a bit unstable, and the plastic martial used on the landing gears was not that strong enough if for emergency cases.

    1. I am wondering what specific screw (the black one on the middle of the wing) did you use for the new version to connect the landing gears? I would replace the position of landing gears to be like the new one.

I highly suggest reinforcing the white plastic martial of landing gears for the next version if possible.

    1. Also, I am wondering how to replace m500's landing gears for a customed gimbal if I would try to add it? The current design for landing gear is quite short, and I am thinking if you would redesign a higher version of landing gear for gimbal purposes in the upcoming updates?

For 2nd question, I am also wondering if the below type of landing gears could be able to install on m500 for adding a customed gimbal?

It seems that these landing gears could be used for a general s500 frame, but m500 made several modifications on top of the original Holybro s500 frame. So, I am not sure if these could work properly.

        Hi @yu-zhang,

        Thank you for the feedback.

The image above is for an older model of the M500 which is no longer being built. All of our M500s have the landing gear mounted directly under the motors.

If you would like to raise the height of the M500, we would recommend adding longer tubes with a thicker wall and larger diameter. You can make the fit snug with a piece of heat shrink utilizing the current plastic spacer that is affixed to each of the arms on the airframe.

          Hi @modalab ,
          Thanks for the information.

So, will you design a compatible landing gear for gimbal? I saw there was a gimbal purchase option on the website but disabled. I also saw the below link of the gimbal:

          https://docs.modalai.com/voxl-m500-gimbal-user-guide/

I am wondering if the team will make a higher version of landing gear in the upcoming release?

I am also interested in the landing gear of the upcoming Flight-RB5.

          https://docs.modalai.com/Qualcomm-Flight-RB5-datasheet/

It looks like a lower version but more stable, and I am wondering if this landing gear will work for the current m500?
