Hello. I purchased a Starling 2 Max development drone and when attempting a first flight test I discovered that one of the batteries arrived entirely dead. I was curious if there was a way to receive replacements, and if this falls within replacement territory. I contacted the support email and was directed here. I can provide more information if needed.

Hello everyone, I am looking for some expert advice on a VOXL 2 companion computer setup for a long-range platform. I have two main integration challenges: Challenge A: VIO at Higher Altitudes To solve the motion blur and pixel density issues at higher altitudes, I am planning a 6-camera configuration. I want to use 4 downward-facing sensors (2 daylight + 2 IR) equipped with narrow-angle lenses, alongside 2 standard wide-angle sensors (front and rear). Could you advise on the best supported sensors (e.g., IMX series) for this? Has anyone successfully tuned the voxl-qvio-server for narrow-angle lenses, and what were the altitude limits you achieved? Challenge B: LAN Integration & WireGuard The payload data flow will be: External RTSP Camera -> Ethernet -> VOXL 2 (WireGuard encryption) -> Ethernet -> Digital RX. Because VOXL 2 lacks multiple LAN ports, I will need a miniature industrial Ethernet switch. Does ModalAI have any tested hardware recommendations for this? Furthermore, what is the best practice for routing this VPN traffic through the VOXL 2 Ubuntu environment without bottlenecking the CPU? We are currently evaluating the VOXL 2 for a broader fleet deployment and want to ensure the ecosystem can support this custom optics requirement. Any feedback on off-the-shelf solutions or standard configurations for this use case would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@Alex-Gardner I am trying to get the C270 uvc camera to record its video or frames to the Seeker's onboard SD card. I have not had any luck using Gstreamer for this. Has this been successfully done with the voxl-record-video command from the dev branch? If so, how would I go about getting this to work?

@Andrew-Yingst You'll want to use a combo of MCBL-0010(https://www.modalai.com/collections/cables-1/products/mcbl-00010) and a USB-A to micro-usb(example: https://www.amazon.com/Charger-USB-Adapter-Replacement-Charging/dp/B08CBDZM6L/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=micro+usb+cable&qid=1682534177&sr=8-11) MCBL-0010 plugs in to the "USB to host PC" connector on the bottom of the standalone board. The micro-usb cable plugs into MCBL-0010 and the other end plugs into your PC. [image: 1682533795941-c05d0fa4-b23f-48d1-8969-d4f32e70103e-image.png] Your PC will then see a new network interface come up. Once it assigns an IP address you should be able to ping the microhard modem (192.168.168.1). Next, navigate to that IP in your browser and you'll be able to access the web server

@KevinChan 0.9.5 is the newest, 0.9 is second newest, 1.3.1-0.8 (0.8) is super old. We changed our naming scheme some time ago so I can understand the confusion

@Kris The intention with the Logitech camera was to use it with voxl-uvc-streamer as Tom pointed out. That way you have a complete working setup and then you can start changing one thing at a time to get to what you want. If you want to switch to a different camera then you can see the differences in the new camera from the Logitech camera and try to debug that way. If you want to add a record feature with GStreamer then you can fork our voxl-streamer code and add the functionality into that. If you want to do it with a gst-launch-1.0 command line pipeline then you are farther away from anything we currently support and it's going to be hard for us to offer much help. I do think that what you are trying to do should be possible.

@Eric-Katzfey I bought the Logitech C270 and tried testing it with some Gstreamer commands. So far I have been able to use it on my Linux PC with these commands. Connected to PC and viewing video; gst-launch-1.0 -v v4l2src ! video/x-raw,format=YUY2 ! videoconvert ! autovideosink Connected to PC and recording to PC; gst-launch-1.0 v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! image/jpeg,width=640,height=480,framerate=30/1 ! jpegdec ! x264enc ! qtmux ! filesink location=C270.mp4 -e However, when I connect the C270 to the Seeker I cannot get any of these to work. I have tried different video devices 0-3 and I have also substituted the autovideosink with fakesink but these changes are still not working. Could you please show me a Gstreamer example for this Logitech C270 camera that works on the Seeker? I would like to either stream, record, or stream+record (possibly using tee) the video using gst-launch-1.0. Thank you

Thanks for the response. We have the M0025-2 (not a stereo pair). In a single image from the M0025-2, part of the image is in focus and part of the image is out of focus. It looks like the best focus distance varies across a single image from left-to-right.
