I'm trying to figure out which of the two V2 North American Carriers modules to order, so I need to resolve this...

I'm confused regarding a few of the options listed in the drop-down list on the VOXL Cellular LTE and USB hub page. The two V2 North American Carriers Sierra options are WP7610 and RC7611.

The Sierra website doesn't list the WP7610 under its IOT modules page, but it does show up as some kind of PCI-E accessory here. The picture on that page implies that there is a WP7610 "module" mounted on some kind of PCI-E carrier board; but Sierra Wireless doesn't list any WP7610 "module" in their Smart Modules page. See what I mean?

As best I can tell, the WP7610 assembly as shown will not mount into the VOXL Cellular LTE and USB hub carrier. So I can only come to one of two conclusions:

      1. There is a typo on this page, and WP7610 should actually be WP7611 in the drop down list.
        or...
      2. For some reason Sierra Wireless chose not to list their WP7610 "module" under their "Smart Modules" page.

Can someone familiar with this VOXL option clarify?
      Thanks

@Ed-Sutter The sierra module itself sits in the socket as seen empty here: https://docs.modalai.com/lte-modem-v2-dongle-datasheet/#board-connections-and-io

        and populated here: https://docs.modalai.com/lte-modem-and-usb-add-on-v2-datasheet/#board-connections-and-io

The "cage" is then attached on top in order to hold it in place.

That PCI-E card you're referencing just has the module soldered onto the it, where-as ours allows users the option to switch modules in the future.

The Sierra docs used to have a page up about the 7610, I know because I have the link saved: https://www.sierrawireless.com/products-and-solutions/embedded-solutions/products/wp7610/ but it seems to be broken now.

        Short answer: 7610 is correct

@tom Ok thanks... the missing WP7610 module page is what caused most of my confusion.
          Thanks

The WP7610 is EOL, but we are still selling out our stock which is why there are so many versions on our product page.

@Chad-Sweet Right, I just noticed that on their site. I did find the WP7610 page here, but the top-level "WP Series" page shows it not recommended for new designs...
              Thanks,

@Chad-Sweet One more clarification... the "V1" and "V2" terms used with the LTE modems do not correspond to "VOXL1" and "VOXL2", correct?

No, V1 uses WNC modems and V2 uses Sierra
