Gentle bump — it's been 5 days and this thread is still open with no reply. Would really appreciate any input from the ModalAI engineering team on the questions above (VOA/SLAM in narrow ~300 mm corridors, fully automated AprilTag precision landing via the VOXL SDK alone, and sharing the downward AR0144 between VIO and voxl-tag-detector). Even partial pointers would help a lot — we're evaluating the VOXL 2 Mini for a PoC and are ready to buy an evaluation unit. Thanks!

@minhthinh Documentation for the original VOXL Flight can be found here. The guide will link back to the original VOXL and the original Flight Core as those are the boards it was built around. You can also refer to the release notes of the previous sdks to see what was available in the specific release that you are using

@mkriesel , just to confirm, does this test work (run) on other voxl2 boards for you?

@tom Gotcha, I did not realize that and in the version of QGC I was using the motor spin tool was not working. I updated QGC and was able to get them working correctly, thanks for the help.

@Moderator Thank you for your response. For the Tof sensor, according to the information found here, it says that I should connect it to the J2 connector on the flight deck. I assume this means that I have to replace the hires camera with the tof camera. If I do so, can I use the same extrinsics and intrinsics calibration of the hires camera for the tof camera? Or do I have to re-calibrate it?

@Eric-Katzfey and @Vinny thank you for response, ive checked with the oscilloscope and it appears i am receiving signal. as for the wiring diagram, i have wrote it incorrectly. i went back and double checked and you are correct Mr.Vinny, i did, somehow still wire it correctly, but have not received frames. i think its best to move on the purethermal mini that was suggested. thank you all for your guidance, will update soon

Looks like the foam did the trick. No amount of tuning was able to stabilize the oscillations. The only issue with adding the foam was the FC reported "High Accelerometer Bias" which I was able to circumvent by loosening the tolerance by changing the COM_ARM_EKF_AB parameter. After all of that, the vehicle was rock steady

Note, voxl-record-video is not documented, finished, or released yet. It's dependent on an internal version of voxl-camera-server that's not been released yet. You can expect this feature in the next SDK release (1.0).

LuxF7HD is a betaflight flight controller. https://rpg.ifi.uzh.ch/docs/IROS18_Falanga.pdf developers from the university at zurich were able to bridge the betaflight controller to the onboard computer. we think we have the wiring portion done, but we need to somehow send the parameters changes from the voxl to the betaflight controller via a serial port. we are using serial port j10012 currently. please let us if you have any ideas on how to bridge the two

I have done a first flight using a controller and the drone is responding fine. I wanted to use Motion capture to provide the Pose data, is there a way to do this on the VOXL?
