How does the Flight Controller on the Seeker connect to the Voxl Main PCB?
-
On the Seeker drone Voxl assembly, how is the flight controller unit connected to the main voxl cam pcb housing the processor and perception sensors? Is it using the B2B connector, or is there a wiring harness from the flight module to one of the connectors on the voxl main pcb?
I want to understand whether the B2B connector is still available "behind" the flight controller module on the seeker, or if the flight controller module is actually using that B2B connector. Any links to documentation would be helpful!

The Flight Controller does not use the B2B connector. If there is a modem or USB breakout though they are using the B2B connector.

Thanks Chad, is the B2B connector still used to provide some mechanical support for the flight core?

Hi @m1baldwin
No, the FlightCore is held in place by all the frame and bezel mechanics, and connected internally by a cable to Voxl.
The B2B is just made available for expansion of 4G Modem or Microhard radios.
Hope that helps. -
We actually make a 3D step available for the Voxl-Cam portion of Seeker, though we do not include all the internals: https://docs.modalai.com/voxl-cam-datasheet/

@Vinny Thanks, this helps a lot!
