    Hi,

We have a Voxl2 that is running the USB/Uart board and then the USB to Ethernet adapter that is connected to our Herelink for streamign video to the Herelink.

We have the Herelink receiving video consistenly when only plugged in directly to the Voxl USB connector from the expansion board, it also will work consistently with a USB 3 port hub in between the Voxl and the Ethernet to USB adapter but if we try to add a Wifi Dongle to the Hub we get inconsistency in the video booting up.

We can get it to work on the bench when plugging in the Wifi Dongle once the system boots and video is streaming, and sometimes on powercycle it works but not consistently enough.

We are trying to understand if there is a way to tell the Voxl that it has 2 USB connections and how we want them to be recognized?

Is it possible to use a USB hub this way?

    Thanks!

        Hi @QSL
Is your hub powered externally? You might be starving the VBUS if you are not powering the hub externally. The USB/UART board adapter does not have enough current to power a hub and additional downstream peripherals as well.

@Vinny this is what we assumed. The hub was not externally powered. We have ordered the Ethernet/USB larger breakout board to use instead. This will eliminate the need for the Hub and resolve any power issues we hope. It also should help reduce EMI on a whole which was a concern.

          Thanks!
