    Limted flight speed in mission and position modes

      Hi team,
      I tested m500's flight speed in different flight modes, and I found the maximum speed was limited by up to 5m/s in both mission and position modes. However, the speed could easily go up to 10m/s in manual mode. So, I am wondering if there is a default max speed setup or safety control in mission and position modes?

      Here is the velocity in a mission test, and I set the speed as 10-12m/s (12m/s is the default max value of px4), but the actual speed was less than 5m/s.

      Also, it is another example in the manual mode, and I can speed up m500 to 8.5m/s in seconds.

        Hi @RichieRich I would follow up with this question about m500's flight speed.

        I am wondering if VOXL or PX4 had a flight safety control hold in position and mission modes? And this hold is released in manual mode? Thanks.

            Hi @Chad-Sweet thanks for that, and it seems it could work by setting a higher value of the maximum speed in QGC. I will test it again to see if it could work to achieve a fast speed in the mission mode 😉
