Starling 2 Max V4/C29: current assembly STEP / CAD availability
-
Hi ModalAI team,
I recently purchased the Starling 2 Max with C29 option a few days ago. While I await delivery I am investigating retrofitting propeller guards and additional payloads, and so I need some details about the airframe.
Could you confirm which assembly STEP or mechanical drawings apply to the Starling 2 Max V4 frame with the C29 sensor configuration?
I downloaded the complete CAD Models folder from FileCloud. It contains seven models, and the newest Starling 2 Max assembly is:
D0012-4-V3-C28-M36-T7-K0-Starling2-Max-V3-20260317.stepThe other two Max files are labelled Hardware Revision 2 and HW Rev1, with internal STEP export dates in September and June 2024 respectively. I could not find an assembly identified as V4/C29.
Your replacement-parts page lists the V4 frame M10001459, motor M10001367 and feet M10001460, and says the V3/V4 frames are not interchangeable.
I also found this earlier report of the V3 CAD having smaller-motor legs than the delivered drone, with physical legs marked 1460 versus 868B in the CAD:
https://forum.modalai.com/topic/5364/hardware-starling-2-max-landing-legs-cad-different-from-droneCould you please clarify:
- Is a current V4/C29 assembly STEP available, and where can it be downloaded?
- If there is no complete model, can you provide drawings for the changed V4 frame/motor/feet interfaces and the fitted C29 ToF module and mounting plastics, including their assembly positions?
- Which parts of the V3 model, particularly the top bracket and arm geometry, remain dimensionally valid for V4? Are there any approved payload attachment points or load limits for the top bracket?
The aim is to check a removable mount and propeller-bumper clearances without assuming that the older assembly matches the current hardware. A model including the installed battery envelopes and propeller sweep/height would be helpful too.
Thanks.
