    Hi,
I'm working with the VOXL flight. I faced some issues with making it autonomous and using ROS.
So I have decided to migrate to VOXL-2. I have a flight deck, can I swap the stereo cameras and Tracking cameras in voxl-flight to voxl-2. will it be complicated and I also want to use LIDAR and other sensors like Ultrasonic. Does anyone recommend this?

    Thank you.

      Hi @voxl-phoenix
In all honesty, you may just want to purchase a VOXL-2 based flight deck. None of your image sensors from VOXL Flight can directly plug into VOXL 2. You need at least a few adapter PCBs or flexes and you need to make sure all the image sensors you want to port over are supported.
The best way to do this is to have a new freshly built and tested flight deck. Then, if you notice any sensors are compatible with what you already have, then you have spares.
It usually takes some effort to get image sensors working exactly the way you want, and with a flight deck pre-tested and confirmed, you are starting off on the better footing compared to trying to build your own from scratch and chugging through it.
Check these out and see if the benefits add up for you.

@voxl-phoenix , as Vinny suggested, starting with a complete kit will guarantee a working set of hardware, which may be good to start with.

If you still wanted to use your existing cameras, are you asking about these? :

        • https://www.modalai.com/products/m0014

If so, yes they are compatible with VOXL2, but you cannot plug them directly into VOXL2, you need interposers or adapter flexes, such as:

        • M0076 (single camera interposer)
        • M0084 (dual camera adapter flex)
        • M0135 (dual camera interposer)

You will find many examples of using these cameras with various adapters here : https://docs.modalai.com/voxl2-camera-configs/

          Hi @Alex-Kushleyev ,
Thank you for your suggestion. Now I understood. how to use my existing stereo, and tracking cameras on voxel-2.
