Bricked Voxl
-
We were running the camera calibration and it suddenly stopped communicating with the PC.
Did we overheat the unit?
We followed the steps to "unbrick" the device but it continually was timing out.

@Trevor-Redpath Could you clarify a bit on what exactly is timing out?
What do you see when you plug your voxl into your PC and run
lsusb?Sorry should have specified, during the image reflash it will time out
Its a Voxl 2 board.
We were going through the Voxl 2 Unbricking guide and got to the step where we would reflash the image to the board. At that point it would time out.

@Trevor-Redpath If you don't have the EDL switch on can you share the output of
lsusb?I'm interested to see what state the board is booting into
So when I plugged it in everything lit up green and I could get into the shell. I still did the lsusb and got this back. Might have had my VM get bugged up at some point and just needed a restart to get it to work. I'll keep this post updated if I run into any more problems with the board.

@Trevor-Redpath Interesting yeah from that screenshot it looks like everything is functional. Like you said just update this post if things change

@tom
Yeah definitely not ideal, actually setting up an orange pie on linux right now to handle the flashing in the future, haha
