    @tom Curriously, it does not seem to accept -p 0000, which was our pin. We changed it to 1234, which is accepted, but that didn't help with the issue, and it acted identically to providing the wrong pin.

    @tom Definite improvement, but it seems to be stuck in initialization. This is the output of manually running it it.

  • 5G Modem - Voxl-modem ERROR can not ready GPIOs
    D DanielHviid

    The board is fully connected and the voxl2 can find 4 USB connections through it. It looks crooked from the perspective of the image, but is completely parallel with the voxl2 and does not wiggle when pressed. The Quectel module is also tightly connected to the board with the screw that it came with, and I have neither loosened it nor removed it since we received it, with both 5g modem boards we have tested.

    We are running this on a clean install of the VOXL2 Platform 0.9 image.

  • 5G Modem - Voxl-modem ERROR can not ready GPIOs
    D DanielHviid

    I'm trying to include a 5G Modem Add-on board on a voxl2, but I cannot interact with it. When I try to control it with voxl-modem, I consistently get an error stating that it cannot ready GPIOs. I can run feather_configure, but detect_modem, read_id and cycle_power all give me the same error. Likewise I can run feather_enable with no issue for usb0-3, but feather_disable fails to disable anything, stating that it's still enabled until it gives up.

    I have tried with two 5G modem modules without luck, am I missing anything or could there be some kind of issue with the Voxl2?

  • FastCV example for Voxl2
    D DanielHviid

    I got it to work in a voxl-cross-template based project build in the voxl-cross docker by downloading from this submenu instead of the big advertised linux installer tab (which is exclusively for android builds).

    All that was then needed to include it was to expand target_list_libraries to include fastcv and DL libs:

    target_link_libraries(${TARGET}
        pthread
        ${MODAL_JSON}
        ${MODAL_PIPE}
        ${VOXL_CUTILS}
        ${OpenCV_LIBS}
        ${CMAKE_SOURCE_DIR}/include/libfastcv.a
        ${CMAKE_DL_LIBS}
    )

    Thank you for the assistance.

  • Opencl cannot find devices
    D DanielHviid

    I tried adding the .so file to the hellocl example, and got the following error:

    /usr/lib/gcc-cross/aarch64-linux-gnu/7/../../../../aarch64-linux-gnu/bin/ld: warning: libcutils.so.0, needed by /usr/lib/../lib/libOpenCL.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)
    /usr/lib/../lib/libOpenCL.so: undefined reference to `property_get'

    and when adding it to our OpenCV application, OpenCV still cannot find any OpenCL devices. I suspect OpenCV needs to be recompiled with the .so file in the docker image.

    This issue is not immediately pressing, so if you intend to update the voxl-cross image I can wait for that instead of trying to create a fix.

  • Opencl cannot find devices
    D DanielHviid

    Hi Chad, I have confirmed that OpenCL is present and that the code compiles on emulator and natively, and runs on our voxl2.

    The voxl-cross docker image does not contain /usr/lib/libOpenCL.so, and our opencv application, which is based on voxl-cross-template. We have tried to build it in the emulator, or on target, but we are unable to apt install dependencies like voxl-opencv in the emulator, and natively their .so files are reported as the wrong file format by cmake.

    Are there plans to include OpenCL in the voxl-cross image, or would it be better for us to rebuild the application/libraries to work with the emulator?

  • Opencl cannot find devices
    D DanielHviid

    I'm trying to use transparent API on opencv to to enable hardware acceleration, but there is no GPU utilization. Both from opencv and from clinfo, it informs me that there are no devices available.
    Am I missing a driver, or is this not available yet?

  • FastCV example for Voxl2
    D DanielHviid

    I'm trying to use the dsp to accelerate my computer vision application. There is a basic example for FastCV on the adsp for Voxl1 at https://docs.modalai.com/build-environments/#how-to-build-for-dsp, but there aren't any examples for the rb5/m0054 adsp. I tried building the example anyways with the voxl-hexagon docker from the qrb5165 branch, which didn't work. Is there some resources I haven't found yet, or is adsp support somewhere on the roadmap for voxl2? Thanks.

  • HDMI-CSI bridge driver on VOXL2
    D DanielHviid

    Hi,

    I'm looking at using the VOXL2 as a flight controller for a fixed wing UAS using a gimbal camera with an HDMI output. I see that the HDMI input accessory for the VOXL was discontinued, is there any HDMI-CSI bridge drivers available for the VOXL2, or are there any plans for developing any such drivers?
