USB Connection Not Working

My USB connection is not working. I'm trying to connect it to a machine running Ubuntu 20.04, but it doesn't register any connection to my Flight Deck (even when running lsusb). I've tried all of the ports on my computer using both the adb connection and the blue J1006 port. I've also tested the usb cable and it works. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?
