Hardware selection advice

Hi,
I am looking into the possibility of utilising the VOXL2 as a companion computer in our UAV setup - could you perhaps advise me on whether it is better to utilise a standalone flight controller along side the VOXL2 instead of utilising the built in FC capabilities? Furthermore, I would like to integrate both an EO and IR camera into the setup. Would you recommend the following setup: VOXL2 + FLIGHT CORE v2 + STARVIS IMX678 + BOSON+? In terms of radio, we intend to utilise the Doodle Labs Mini.
Any input would be much appreciated,
Regards,

@holmeslice Regarding having the external flight controller, it's really only needed if the I/O limitations of VOXL 2 are a problem. For example, if you need CAN bus then you should probably use the external flight controller since VOXL 2 has no CAN bus support.
