    Hi Alex,

It doesn't look like the PCB is placed on an ESD sensitive surface? It is an exposed PCB so you still need to be careful with exposure to ESD

It's most likely the flash was corrupted in some way. Can you please try the Unbrick procedure found here? https://docs.modalai.com/unbrick-voxl/

    Thanks!

@Chad-Sweet Yes, I'm taking care about ESD sensitive surface.
I've tried unbrick procedure but it's not showing any ADB device on my screen.

    Thanks.

      Hi @Alex123 ,

A few more items to try.

      • When you apply power, does the LED quickly flash green? The LED is called out here
      • What are you using to plug into the power module? I see in the picture above you have the power module but can't see what type of power supply you are using. The VOXL has a hefty inrush current, I've seen sometimes when using an incorrectly spec'd supply that there can be intermittent ADB connections
      • Have you tried a different USB cable and port (I'm sure you have, but have to ask 😉 )

      Thanks!

I've tried the items you are listed.

        • The LED is blinking when I'm applying the power(flash green).

        • I'm using the standard power adapter which I've received with the complete VOXL kit. (5V 4A)

        • And of course, I've tried with different USB cables as well.

After all, it's not showing any ADB device on my screen.

        Thanks!

          Hi @Alex123 ,

Sorry for the repetitive questions, but we're trying to eliminate problems we've seen due to wrong power supplies and ADB.

Our standard power 5V supply is rated for 6A (as a 4A power supply may not support inrush currents of the VOXL) and can lead to problems like this....

Can you please verify if you are using the standard power supply?

I'm sorry, it was by mistake. I'm using 5V, 6A power supply.

              @modaltb
If it happens (5V, 4A), is there any possibility of hardware damage?
Can I overcome this problem by giving the correct power supply?

I've connected the current meter in series to check the current at 24V.
I've used Power Module v3 to power-up the board.
I've observed the following current rating at 24 volts. (see the image)

                IMG_20201124_132253.jpg

Is that much of current consumption at 24V ok?

                  Hi @Alex123 ,

46mA is a bit low... OK so now that we've sorted out the power supply, I believe we'll ask to have this one sent in and we can evaluate it unfortunately.

I've just email you an RMA request form to the email associated to this forum account, if you could fill this out we'll start the process.

                  Thanks!

@Alex123 I just realized right now when I was powering up my m500 that I said to use 24VDC in an email.... this is OK for that power module, but the max is 25.2VDC, so no problem dropping it to say 16VDC! 😉
