    We are considering adding a second processor, a 5G communication unit, and a battery to the Sentinel system to enable it to perform additional tasks and communicate data back to the server. Could you please provide your recommendations regarding:

    1. The compatibility of these components with the existing Sentinel architecture.
    2. The most efficient way to integrate the second processor to ensure optimal performance.
    3. Suitable 5G communication units for seamless connectivity.
    4. Battery options that would provide sufficient power without significantly increasing weight or size.
    5. Any potential challenges we might encounter during integration and how to address them.

      @soraminds https://www.modalai.com/products/mdk-m0090?variant=47319040327984

      Sentinel may already have an M0090 in it, likely without the Sierra Wireless modem

        @tom
        Thank you for your response.
        We are currently using SKU: MDK-M0090-3-02-01, which is the M0090 board equipped with the Sierra Wireless modem. Considering this setup, I’d like to clarify a few points:
        Can we use the existing communication unit and battery for the additional processor we plan to integrate for addition computing tasks?
        Alternatively, instead of adding another CPU/processor, would it be feasible to leverage the Qualcomm QRB5165 already present in the Sentinel system to handle the additional tasks?
        Pl. comment.

          @soraminds What do you mean by additional processor? What kind and how do you plan on passing data between this processor and VOXL 2? What kind of processing are you unable to do on VOXL 2?

              Thank you for your insightful questions and for highlighting the VOXL 2's capabilities.
              By "additional processor," we were initially considering adding a secondary processor to handle specific tasks that we assumed might exceed VOXL 2's processing capabilities. However, your comment made us take a closer look, and we now realize that VOXL 2 might indeed handle the additional processing we had in mind.

              We'll explore leveraging the Qualcomm QRB5165 on VOXL 2 to handle these tasks instead of introducing extra hardware. This approach could simplify our design and optimize data flow.
              Appreciate your input—it’s given us a valuable direction to explore!

                @soraminds Sounds good, if you have any questions in the future you know where to find answers! Our users often have plenty of processing power to spare when using VOXL 2.
