VOXL2 Max Power Draw

Perhaps I'm just missing the appropriate documentation, but is the max power draw of the VOXL2 stated in a datasheet? Thanks!

Hi @nshahrestani
Our Voxl platforms are highly customizable and expandable for development purposes. So, the short answer is it depends on what you are running.
We over-specify the power module to support 30W of total system power which is more than needed for most common AI use cases and several expansion board/modem options.
We have seen some nominal use cases only need 3-4W, and some more AI intensive with multiple cameras pull 7-8W on the voxl2 board alone.
We specify on several plug-in boards their estimated power draws, so each system designer needs to consider all this at once. -
That all makes sense, thanks! I'm incorporating just the VOXL2 and a 5G breakout board into a design where weight is a critical design aspect and was looking to spec a smaller voltage regulator than the included power module hence the question. You mentioned that you specify power draw for various breakout boards, I can't seem to find that information could you point me to where that might be? Thanks

@nshahrestani Sure,
Here is the 4G modem: https://docs.modalai.com/lte-modem-and-usb-add-on-v2-datasheet/#power-consumptionand Microhard 900MHz for reference: https://docs.modalai.com/microhard-add-on-datasheet/#power-consumption
I think I need to add a section for the 5G modem.
