      Hello hope you’re doing well,

I’m currently trying to set up a Lepson on a VOXL flight deck. I’ve looked at the docs and how to set up the camera server, but I’m still confused as to how to wire it to the flight deck.

Any help in direction or how to move forward will help me out a lot,

      thanks in advance.

You'll need an add-on board that exposes USB, such as this: https://docs.modalai.com/usb-epxansion-with-fastboot-v2-datasheet/

@Luis-Fernando-Landivar There are a variety of boards that use the Lepton sensor. Which board are you using? Some boards, like the PureThermal Mini, have a USB interface and can be used with the add on board Chad suggested. Other boards expose SPI and I2C directly from the Lepton and require a different connection scheme. We would recommend the PureThermal Mini connected via USB.

thank you for your reply, after looking at pinouts of the possible boards and the external spi port on the voxl 2, i think ive figured out the wiring diagram needed to achieve lepton video on the voxl2. i will update with the wiring diagram, the lepton product i purchased and the steps i will take in order to setup and will update if i have any issues. thank you again! @Chad-Sweet @Eric-Katzfey

@Chad-Sweet @Eric-Katzfey after some time setting up, ive followed the steps provided here https://docs.modalai.com/voxl-flir-server/ , ive also wired the lepton camera ive purchased here https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15948 using this pin out table, and using the J10 connection on the voxl 2.

ive tested it to see if any feed came through but no window or debug stats have been displayed. My hardware is a voxl 2 with the 5g modem add-on. ive also taken a look at the purethermal mini as suggested, that will be my goto if this setup does not work, do you have any suggestions? thank you both in advance

@Luis-Fernando-Landivar Can you attach an oscilloscope to the SPI data line (MISO)? The Lepton should be sending out data on that line after it powers up.

                  Hi @Luis-Fernando-Landivar
MISO always connects to MISO and MOSI always connects to MOSI. Your table has them reversed.
Please double check that and also make sure you have all the jumpers on the board installed since the local MASTER_CLK and RESET_L must be sourced by the breakout board.
Let us know if that was the issue.
                  Thanks!

@Eric-Katzfey and @Vinny thank you for response, ive checked with the oscilloscope and it appears i am receiving signal. as for the wiring diagram, i have wrote it incorrectly. i went back and double checked and you are correct Mr.Vinny, i did, somehow still wire it correctly, but have not received frames. i think its best to move on the purethermal mini that was suggested. thank you all for your guidance, will update soon
