Futaba S.bus2 support on flight core V2
-
I'm attempting to connect a Futaba R7014SB receiver to my Flight Core V2 board via the RC input port in the board, but I am running into issues. I'm unable to find out if this is due to Flight Core not supplying enough power or if Flight Core doesn't support the S.bus2 protocol. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Josh-Morehead
S.BUS2 is not supported on ModalAI hardware (at this time). Please put your S.BUS2 device/receiver into legacy/conventional S.BUS mode.
Additionally, for S.BUS receivers, please make sure you are using a cable meant for S.BUS that picks up 5V instead of the noted RC port we have which is 3.3V for Spektrum satellite receivers. This guide can help you convert a FCv1 S.BUS cable into FCv2: https://docs.modalai.com/cable-userguides/
See MCBL-00218-1 and MCBL-00064 both of which are based on MCBL-00018: https://docs.modalai.com/cable-datasheets/#mcbl-00018
We hope to have ready-made MCBL-00218/221 cables for purchase listed soon! Thanks and hope that helps.
