Could we enable VOXL 2 to support HiRes Camera OV64B by install driver without system image re-generated?

Recently the vendor claim that their HiRes OV64B driver is available on Qualcomm Robotics RB5 platform. Is it possible to install the driver into VOXL2 develop kit without system image re-generated?
I will appreciate it if you can answer my question.
