VOXL I2C port implementation

Hi guys, is there any I2C port implementation that is actually high level? Or is there plans to implement it in the future?
I am not sure which components or parts I can use with these port as it is currently unusable as it does not support high level stuff or is programmed to function like a raspberry pi where you have drivers to control different components.

voxl-i2c should be pretty straightforward. Just send the i2c commands and get the data. The VOXL platform has a large amount of flexibility and expandability, you should be able to do what you need with a few i2c commands.
