RB5 PPM rc input support
-
Hello all,
Is anyone aware of a way to use PPM style RC receiver input with the RB5? Is there a way to set the J12 connector UART to look for PPM instead of 'DSM' style input?
I've searched the documentation but cannot find anything on this topic, and the only available connection seems to be the J12 RC input connector. The VOXL/M500 boards have a dedicated PPM input connector, but that seems to have been dropped on the RB5.
I have a specific need to use a receiver other than the included spektrum satellite one.

@joshuagaus Currently only the Spektrum receivers are supported. However, we have a small add-on module that will soon be available for sale that will open up more RC options including SBUS. Can you point us to the specific receiver that you are interested in using?

The specific reciever I need to use is the 'Jeti Duplex EX R6L 2.4GHz Mini Receiver'
https://shop.jetiusa.com/Jeti-Duplex-EX-R6L-2-4GHz-Mini-Receiver-w-Telemetr-p/jetir6lus.htmThe supported outputs are PPM and 'UDI', which I can't find much documentation on, but seems to be similar to the SRXL protocol.
Thanks

@joshuagaus Even with our new upcoming module we will not support PPM. It looks like there may be some other communication options on that receiver so you may want to review all the possibilities.
