IBSS does not work on Starling 2
-
Hi! I'm exploring a way to control a group of Starling 2 as part of a swarming project. One of the ways that I'm looking at doing this is by using IBSS. When I queried the driver for the USB WiFi, it says that IBSS mode is supported (pic below). However, I'm unable to get 2 drones to ping each other. I think I found the github repo for the driver that the Starling 2 uses but it doesn't explicitly says it supports IBSS.
Is there a way to enable this function in the Starling 2? Else, is there a way to upgrade the USB WiFi to something more recent? As far as I know, that might be a problem too as the kernel is pretty old and doesn't support the newer WiFi drivers that are on the newer kernels
Thanks!

@sssagara IBSS is not something we have any experience with. As you see, it is an open source driver. You can also use different wifi adapters
@Moderator When you mentioned different WiFi adapters, do you mean that the Starling 2 is able to support newer WiFi adapters that are WiFi 6E capable too? Or only those that are listed here?
