RE: Connecting MSU-M0149-1, MSU-M0107, and VOXL 2 Time of Flight (TOF) Depth Sensor
BTW We currently have a hadnful of what seems to be the incorrect adapters listed here:
2x VOXL 2 Mini 40-Pin Connector TOF Adapter (MDK-M0172-1-00)
2x VOXL to VOXL 2 Image Sensor Interposer
2x VOXL 2 Dual Image Sensor Expander
2x Cable 26-pin Micro-coax for Image Sensor ModulesTIA

RE: Connecting MSU-M0149-1, MSU-M0107, and VOXL 2 Time of Flight (TOF) Depth Sensor
@Moderator So to confirm, we need the M0173 to connect the 3 front sensors then the M0172 for the single rear TOF, what cables would we use that are the longest ones available to then connect to the Voxl2 ports?
Thanks!

RE: Relocating Sensors and Connectors or Extended Cables
@Moderator This is appreciated, I had however already seen these docs. My issue is that though you have a 15cm extension that does not account for the orientation of the Voxl2 in relation to the sensor and location to mount them. due to this the 15cm connector is not long enough. Is there any advice on how we can extend these sensors beyond these lengths? Is there some shielding or other potential signal boosting we can do? Our goal is to eventually be able to position the sensors further away from the voxl2 as we want to use the hardware on much larger platforms where the rear sensors will need to be further than our current test development.
TIA for any insight.

Relocating Sensors and Connectors or Extended Cables
Hi,
We need to locate sensors in multipl positions around our platform but are sturggling to understand how we can get the distance from the voxl needed.
We need front Sensors, TOF Voxl 2 ( MSU-M0178-1-01), Image Sensor Tracking (MSU-M0014), and 4k Starvis (MSU-M0107) approximately 130-150mm from the Voxl2 in the nose of the platform, and we need to locate a TOF Voxl 2 ( MSU-M0178-1-01) approximately 175-200mm from the Voxl2.
Can we get some assistance in the best way to connect these sensors?
Thanks!

Connecting Video from Voxl 2 to Herelink 1.1
We are trying to verify if we can use the smaller and easier to package VOXL 2 USB3.0 / UART Expansion Adapter with USB 3.0 being used to send the camera views to herelink via the ethernet port?
We were looking at using
https://www.amazon.com/USB-Ethernet-Adapter-Gigabit-Switch/dp/B09GRL3VCN/
and of course the Herelink Adapter
https://irlock.com/products/herelink-air-unit-v1-1-ethernet-cable?
We can use the larger breakout board with RJ45 connector but its very bulky and we are trying to package the voxl 2 in a space that this would not work for us.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Questions on Sensor and Hardware Choices
Hi,
We are looking to implement the Voxl 2 system into a platform we are developing. We would like to get a Modal AI Engineer team member to verify we are selecting the best hardware for a path to MVP.
The platform is expected to do the following:
Fly in GPS denied confined spaces (5-6ft wide, 6-20 feet tall narrow corridors) with precision and avoiding obstacles (ie walls, pipes, and obstacles that present themselves in the corridor) and of course the ground as well as the ceiling or top of the structures flown.
The platform is a Y6 layout and will be approximatley 24" wide and 24-32" long
We planned originally to utilize the Voxl 2 Flight Deck as it would be able to be installed on the first ptotoypes as it is shipped with mounting on the frame of our platform. That being said we did some research and found that we would likely want to add 4k camera to the system for FPV viewpoint for the pilot, and wanted to understand if we should add any TOF sensors for obstacle avoidance and sensing.
We also had the idea to build out our own configuration or take a Starling BNF and tear it down to utilize its pre setup sensors. Again, we are not sure though that the Starling package has the number of sensors that will optimize our needed flight performance and small tolerances.
At any rate, I am looking to get a recomended sensor package and general layout as to where they are best places on this type of platform and/or if we should use the Flight Deck and if so do we need sensors additional to the stock configuration.
Thanks!
