Stinger Vision VL53L4CX integration with M0188
-
Hardware: (board / drone / SKU, serial # if you have it)
VOXL STINGER VISION MRB-D0013-6-V1-C33-T8-M26-X0
Software version: (paste the output ofvoxl-version)
1.8 SKD
What I am trying to do:
GreetingsTrying to integrate some T0F sensors with the stinger vision, specifically the VL53L4CX with the Stinger Vision. I've got a M0188 board, and I'm wondering what the pinouts are for the J01, J23, J45, and J67 MUX interfaces.

Thanks
Jeremy

I should also note that I do have a TCA9548A mux, and if I need to solder that I can. I can see the 0x76 address using i2cdetect, so its there, just need to know how to solder to it.

Hi @jeremyrbrown5
We have found our site incorrectly lists the Mini-ToF support on the SKUs that are available to buy.The board in your hands cannot be updated to support the ToF modules. If we were able to provide you with a corrected unit with Mini-ToF support, it would require ModalAI ToF modules, not ones from Adafruit or other 3rd parties.
Please bear with us on this, we are figuring out the best approach internally to handle this, but curious what your flexibilities are on this?
Was this bought as part of a drone, or individual PCBs? Can you please share your order #?Thanks!

Hi @Vinny
It was part of a larger purchase of about 18 systems (if i remember correctly) about a year ago. I will send the original order# when I locate it.
As far as our flexibility, we are adept at altering and modifying the systems for our needs, but we have a short timeline, and any product solution would need to be shipped overnight.
Is there any reason I cannot solder onto the board? It looks like the board has the traces for a TCA9548A mux, so I should be able to solder to that, unless there is something else I'm missing? My mistake on the address, actually saw the 0x73, nor 76, which is the lepton. Does that mean the board wouldn't be able to recognize it without an update to the firmware? If I remove the lepton and wire my own TCA9548A mux and ToFs, will that work?
Would love some clarification on the above.
Thanks!

Hi @jeremyrbrown5
There are about 45 components missing on your board to enable ToF support, it is not standard practice for us to provide variant transition instructions for numerous reasons.
I'll talk to the team and see if we should reach out over email to guide you further if you are willing to take the risk.. -
