Binding Problem Starling2Max with Radiomaster Boxer

Hello, how can I connect a Radiomaster Boxer remote control to the Starling 2 Max? Is there a step-by-step guide? We’ve tried everything possible but haven’t been able to establish a connection. Currently, we’re facing the issue that the firmware versions of the remote control and the ELRS receiver in the drone are different. There’s no way to update them via the VOXL web interface. When I run voxl-elrs update via SSH, I only get an error message. When you turn on the drone and the receiver can’t connect to a remote control, the receiver is supposed to start a Wi-Fi network and allow you to perform an update via the ExpressLRS Configurator. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen.

Hi @heiko.lizan can you share the SKU and SDK version that shows up when you adb in? Also the error message when you run voxl-elrs update.

A few issues you may be running into:

1. your Radiomaster Boxer ELRS module is 2.4Ghz only and is not compatible with our 900Mhz drones
2. your Radiomaster Boxer ELRS module is running ELRS 4.0+, you will need to downgrade to the latest ELRS V3 since we are currently not supporting ELRS v4.0+
3. The receiver is stuck in bootloader mode and needs recovered. (will need the error messages to diagnose) It's possible the error messages may provide steps to run to get the receiver to start working again.

Which remote control is compatible with the M0184 receiver right out of the box?

Is it normal for these services not to be running?

Any elrs radio that's 900mhz or dual band compatible should work when in low band mode. If the transmitter is running v4+ you should be able to downgrade it to v3 following the elrs update guide

It's normal that some services aren't running. You may need to re-enable px4 with systemctl enable voxl-px4
