Content details of VOXL 2 (Starling)
-
Hi,
We received "VOXL 2 Starling Indoor and Outdoor SLAM & Autonomy Development Drone" in our office. The package contains 2 batteries with XT30 connector and "Power Suply XT60 connector".
The connector of Power Supply isn't compatible with the connector of Battery connector.
Why there is a difference between the connectors and how to charge the batteries?
What are the minimum and maximum battery voltages? -
@muhammadbilal1 The power supply is to operate the Starling without a battery. Please do not arm the drone using the wall supply or the electronics will break. There should be an XT60 to XT30 adapter included in your kit.

@Moderator
Thank you for your response.
But, there is no adapter in the kit we received. What about the queries I asked about the battery charging?
I am attaching the paper I received along with the shipment.
There are some item codes on that,, I don't understand those but, maybe you find something in that.

@Moderator Here is the picture of the box contents when I opened it for the first time.
-
@muhammadbilal1 The charger is not included as it's just an XT30 connector on the battery. Any hobby charger that supports LiIon will work
We'll look into where that adapter can be found in the kit. It's in a manilla envelope
-
you should find the XT60 to XT30 adapter in the zipper pocket, as shown
-
@Moderator We checked the zipper pocket multiple times, there is just the belt of the case, nothing else is there.
-
@muhammadbilal1 , it seems the adapter may be missing, sorry about that. It is easy to make using XT60 and XT30 connector. Would you like to see instructions how to make one or would you like us to ship an adapter to you?
-
@Alex-Kushleyev Please do send us the adapter.
Please answer the queries related to the battery charging and voltages also. -
The batteries for Starling are standard Lithium Ion batteries (not Lithium Polymer). The recommended charging rate for Li-Ion batteries is 1C, so if the capacity is 3000mAh, the maximum charging rate is 3A. Charging at slower rates will extend the battery life (as is true for all batteries).
The maximum voltage is 4.2V. Please use a charger setting that specifically supports Li-Ion batteries. Most LiPo chargers also support Li-Ion batteries.
I will check how to proceed regarding the missing adapter.
