Odd your capacitor is not functioning. Did you inadvertently connect a device backwards?
Tantalum caps are known to get damaged in reverse polarity use.That specific cap is C73.
We use a special low-profile 1.2mm version 100uF to prevent interference with VOXL 2. Although in that specific location for C73,there is a lot more space.
Here is a digikey link for it:

You will need a TON of heat to replace that part. There are several vias in the pads. Your M0090 board will no longer be under RMA warranty should you solder this yourself just FYI.Hope this helps!

@Vinny Thanks for your quick reply.
I have no idea what caused this problem. After the first flight i noticed a certain smell that could have been caused by the capacitor transcending into the shadow realm - but that is the only time I remember anything odd happening to the chip.
Since the modem is used in combination with the voxl2 in a research project at my university I'm not the only one that had his hands on it. Thus i can not rule out that a device was connected backwards causing this whole mess.Thank you for your time!
