vio/ camera server/ streamer

hi, im trying to provide less load on the voxl2, so that I can attach more cameras, USB camera, plus thermal camera. I've turned off the rear stereo cameras, only using the front stereo, hires, and tracking now. I've noticed that too many cameras on at once, will not load frames on voxl-portal, so now I have a few questions. assuming voxl-portal is off, will vio work if the camera-server is off? do i need to have camera-server running in order to use voxl-streamer on qgroundcontrol? can i subscribe to my USB cameras using voxl-streamer only, on qgroundcontrol?

For the MIPI-CSI2 image sensors connected directly to VOXL 2, yes. Not for a USB camera though
can i subscribe to my USB cameras using voxl-streamer only, on qgroundcontrol?
You should be able to use voxl-uvc-server to do this
