using ros1:indigo or a ros2:foxy docker image on voxl

Is there an advantage to using ROS1:indigo vs a Ubuntu 20.04/ ROS2:foxy docker image on the voxl. I am able to get both to work and communicate but am wondering the advantages vs disadvantages of using either framework with respect to the voxl-suite packages.
