Hi, I want to use two HD camera sensors (https://www.modalai.com/products/mdk-m0061-2?variant=44563858850096) and one Flir Boson 320(https://www.oemcameras.com/thermal-imaging-cameras/thermal-imaging-cores/flir-boson-series.htm/flir-boson-320x256-2mm.htm) on my drone. I know that the FLIR boson sensors are connected to USB and that's okay. I also checked the datasheet, and it says the board has support for four MIPI CSI cameras on the VOXL Mini 2 board but I noticed there are only two connectors(Camera Group 0 and 1). How do you connect 2 cameras(mentioned above link) to the board? Is there an additional board like this(https://www.modalai.com/collections/accessories/products/mdk-m0135) needed? And I am also wondering if VOXL 2 Mini and VOXL 2 have support for the same image sensors. Thank you.

Hey @Memmed-Shamurov there are some pictures here to give an idea:

        https://docs.modalai.com/voxl2-mini-image-sensors/#m0076---single-sensor-interposer

Each camera port (J6, J7) as you noticed has 2 full CCI and CSI interfaces.

The M0076 interposer exposes 1 set (1 CCI, 1 CSI) per camera group, the M0135 will expose both, on VOXL2 mini.

For example you could use one M0076 on each J6/J7 and then get the IMX sensors into VOXL2 Mini.

In general the same image sensors work on VOXL2 and VOXL2 mini. The way the device tree is setup on the VOXL2 on J6/J8 was originally optimized for Sentinel use case and hides a CSI basically. We've since updated and have another kernel that ships on things like Starling 2, that exposes all 6 CSI and the 4 CCI. (I owe some updated docs ....)

The camera config in voxl-camera-server would be 'custom' for this but is fairly straight forward.

This area is tricky and I'm lagging on docs so hit me back with questions as you have them.

@modaltb thank you for the detailed info, I am preparing a list of components I will order from ModalAI, and it'd be a pity if some of them aren't compatible with each other so I have to be careful about that.

@Memmed-Shamurov we have draw.io based drawings here if you want to try to mock something up for review, we can take a look:
