Hi @nshahrestani
Our power modules provide the needed voltage and current demands of both Voxl and Voxl2 (and a new version for V2-Mini). It is a well tested and proven design, so please make sure you still have one in your collection to compare against should you have any issues with your own design. We've had some customers make their own smaller modules, and they experienced issues with power in the system.
For Voxl2, we expect 5V +/- 5% to keep the eFuse happy. We have our power module set for 5.08V at no-load to help compensate for any cable drops. You also must have up to 6A of in-rush support during power-on. The steady-state depends on your applications and whether or not you use any plug-in boards (5G modem, Microhard, etc), but we easily can see over 2-3A continuous. However, if you design with a 3A DC/DC, you will likely not be able to boot the system due to power on in-rush. Power is one area you cannot cut corners with, so please use a 6A device for success, and have at least 188uF of bulk capacitance (qty-4 47uF for example) to match our power module performance.
Hope that helps.
