Today I tried using another provider for the SIM and it connected to the internet. Not sure where to start debugging this cause it is getting an IP, but I figure it needs internet access to get the time ?

The docker on target is somewhat old (see this post) and there's a chance there's compatibility issues going on with docker hub.

We've tested with google cloud registry and had success but haven't tried docker hub.

@Aldo-Castro-Freire We use Google Cloud to host our VPN servers so I would assume AWS would be just fine. This sounds like a configuration issue to me that the OpenVPN forum could help you out with.

Although we aren't VPN experts (yet), this is something I've seen myself. There are parameters that can be configured by VPN server/clients that may affect bandwidth (e.g. MTU).

There are various types of client/servers out there so it varies how these could be setup.

Also, depending on where the VPN server is located, you might be going to a server far away, and depending on the VPN server quality, they may or may be sharing resources with you.

A lot of effort goes in to supporting a new modem on a companion computer. The kernel needs to be modified, drivers need to be developed. We sell specific accessories that we put that effort in to so they can work with VOXL.

Without knowing what type of modem you are trying to connect, it is difficult to suggest where to begin.

Some things that might help:

What type of modem is it? What interface are you connecting with? USB, serial or Ethernet? Does it have an available Linux driver? If it is USB, and you type 'lsusb', does it appear?

No, those are PCIe interfaced, so form factor wouldn't plug in.

We don't support any 5G modems on VOXL today, however we expect to in the next few months.

We expect to have more product announcements later this summer around 5G

Local frame is centered wherever the drone was when it boots up aligned with wherever the drone was facing when it booted up.

Body frame is centered at the drone's center of mass and points XYZ->forward right down.

The tag won't be 0, 0, 0 unless you program it to be. You can set it to any values, and you can have multiple tags in the array (see here https://docs.modalai.com/voxl-vision-px4-apriltag-relocalization/#configuration-file)

Yes, you can put a tag at say (100, 100, 0). You can fly to say (97, 100, -3), and the vehicle can see the tag and then 'infer' the tag is at exactly (100, 100, 0), and you can have the drone then fly to (100, 100, -0.5) and then land, for example.

@modaltb I don't required VIO for the whole flight rn. I just wanted to test the landing. I would assume for my flights they all would be gps enable. But what gps lacks is precision on landing mostly, so I have been wanting to test how reliable is landing on top of Apriltag because we have some landing platforms and we need precision.
I saw the the apriltag video and it didn't seem I needed to setup the precision landing mode, it just triggers the VIO
