Starling 2 FAA Remote ID
-
We recently purchased a ModalAI Starling 2 for use in a camera prototyping program at Lytx, and we're in the process of registering it with the FAA under Part 107 (FAADroneZone).
During registration, we're asked whether the drone broadcasts FAA Remote ID information. Could you confirm:
- Does the Starling 2 have built-in Standard Remote ID?
- If so, is there a Declaration of Compliance (DOC) we can reference for FAA registration, and where can we find the Remote ID serial number for our unit?
- If the Starling 2 does not have built-in Remote ID, can you confirm whether a third-party broadcast module (e.g., Dronetag) is the recommended path, and if there are any modules ModalAI has specifically validated with the Starling 2?
