      Hi,

One can read on the Quectel datasheet(https://docs.modalai.com/5G-Modem-datasheet/😞
"The Global version RM502Q-AE nearly covers all the mainstream carriers worldwide. The module supports Qualcomm®IZat™ location technology Gen9C Lite (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou/Compass and Galileo). The integrated GNSS receiver greatly simplifies the product design and provides quicker, more accurate and more dependable positioning capability."

      Questions:

      1. Can we get localization data of the drones via the Quectel modem without the external GPS module M10N?
      2. Do we need a SIM card in the modem for that?
      3. Do we need additional software for this localization?

      Thanks

@tahawaru We have never tried that. But according to the Quectel product documentation it seems like it should be possible. Of course you would need to attach a suitable GNSS antenna to it. And if you want to use that with PX4 then you would need to create a new driver for it.
