      Hello,

I'm working on the Starling 2 drone and would like to know if it's possible to charge it when it's landed but still powered on.

      Thanks for your answers.

@Judoor-0 , there isn't any special circuitry in Starling 2 that would allow you to charge the battery after a flight without disconnecting the battery.

@Alex-Kushleyev OK, but if I create an adapter to make it possible, will the drone support it? Does it need a special circuit to make it work properly?

@Judoor-0 , I am not sure what you are asking. The drone does not know if you are powering it with a battery or something else, there are only two power terminals, positive and negative for the power input.

If you create some sort of adapter between the drone and the battery, there is no way for the drone to tell if anything has changed. You could have some sort of fancy circuit that automatically switches the drone to another source of power and starts charging the battery.

Whatever you do, please make sure it is safe for the battery and the drone, that is do not exceed maximum voltage ratings for the drone and do not overcharge the battery.

            Alex

              Hi @Judoor-0
None of our hardware is qualified for active use during charging.
Please remove the battery prior to charging.
              Thanks!

@Vinny no problem for now I didn't try to charge it while being used it was just a question.
