Starling 2 Max Flight Stability

Hello, we have your Starling 2 Max drone in our hands, and we're having a hard time trying to reproduce stable flights. We SSH into the drone through a computer powershell and run the flight scripts, but each flight varies in stability and even in altitude. We do our test flight at the exact same setup, running the exact same script. Each flight probably lasts around 10-15 seconds. Can you please provide some insight on what might be causing this?
Note: we did notice the Qualcomm SoC gets super hot.
