Drone Unexpectedly Exited Position Mode During Indoor Flight ❓
-
Hi,
I was flying my Starling 2 drone indoors using the RC controller in position mode, when the drone suddenly kicked out of position mode and switched to what I believe was manual mode. I lost control and unfortunately, it crashed into a wall, breaking a propeller.
I have a couple of questions:
-
Is there a propeller guard or protection accessory available to reduce damage during crashes?
-
Since I’m flying indoors without GPS, what can I verify or monitor on the drone to ensure it can reliably stay in position mode?
** Are there specific diagnostics or health checks (e.g., sensors, VIO, PX4 status) I can run before flying?
** How can I confirm the drone won't drop out of position mode again?
Any guidance on improving safety and stability during indoor flight would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
