Unbrick using QDL taking a while

Hello,
I am unbricking my VOXL2 using QDL. It seems to be taking much longer than 10-15 minutes. More like an hour and it is still not done
I am in a virtual box.
Modem Manager is turned offI get a new block of text about every 5 minutes
Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you!

Using a VM might be causing a slowdown, but even USB2 vs. USB3 cables can have a pretty big effect on QDL speed.
Suggestion: ensure communicating over USB3I am also going to attempt to flash from a laptop running ubuntu on bare metal.

So I double checked, I am using USB3.0.
I also am using Ubuntu 22.04 now on a bare metal macbook air.It is not FINISHED yet, but it is going a lot faster.
If anyone is experiencing slow qdl, would definitely be worth using Ubuntu on bare metal and ENSURING you are using USB3.0
