@Chad-Sweet thanks for that.
We'll be placing an order soon!

@Vinny thanks for this info, it looks like our group will go with a Doodle Labs configuration.
I do have some further questions.
Is it possible to order a complete Sentinel kit + the M0090 5G board + a Doodle Labs air-radio, all pre-installed (or pre-soldered? does this require soldering?) by Modal AI? Was hoping this was a service you all could provide.
For the Doodle Labs ground-radio, do we require any other add-on boards to connect to a Laptop USB? How about connecting to an Android USB-C port? Curious how that configuration would go.
We're definitely prepared to order, just want to confirm these two pieces of critical info above, before we place the order.
Hi. We were considering purchasing 12x Sentinels, but were also considering the Doodle Labs radio instead of the Microhards
https://www.modalai.com/products/mini-oem-smart-radio?variant=40946775621683
Would the Doodle Labs radio be compatible with the Sentinel? Also, do we have to install + solder the Doodle Labs radios ourselves? (Or do you provide this as a service?)
For a swarm configuration, would we need
1x Stand Alone Doodle Labs Radio for our ground station
12x Add-On Doodle Labs Radio, each mounted on a Sentinel.
Is the above the proper configuration? Would we need extra dongles / add-on boards purchased to have the radios mounted? (ie, like the Microhard dongles/add-ons etc).
Would like this confirmed, since we are now writing out a bill-of-materials, and will be making a purchase soon.
hardware + maintenance updates end on APR 2023 for Ubuntu 18.04. At least the security updates last until 2028, but its still a concern.
Would it be possible to collaborate + coordinate with you all on an Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04 build? Hyper-critical for an upcoming project, since we have a very long development cycle (most likely 2 - 4 years), and we really want to use Modal AI dev drones.
Should we take this to emails? Please contact me : slade @ roguestar . ai if emails would be more appropriate for this topic.
I'm planning on buying a couple of Sentinel dev drones, but I'm worried about its Ubuntu version, especially for PX4. Does the Sentinel 2 come with Ubuntu 22.04 out of the box? If not, which version of Ubuntu do you all currently ship?
Concerned mainly about versioning, and we have a 24 month prototype cycle for an upcoming project.
If Sentinel 2 comes with Ubuntu 20.04, is it possible to upgrade it to Ubuntu 22.04 easily? Will it break any of your VOXL2 scripts/API?
@Jeremy-Schmidt said in Is it possible to increase the payload capacity of a Sentinel 2?:
May I ask how much additional payload mass you're wanting to add?
I'm hoping to reach up to 3kg - 5kg range. I'm not sure if its possible to tune current motors to increase payload capacity (or maybe just swapping out propellers?)
Either way, 1300 grams for total payload capacity feels tight, and I'm hoping the Sentinel 2 can be easily modified somehow.
@Jeremy-Schmidt is it possible to swap out motors/parts and achieve higher payload capacity? If so, what kind of work should I expect to do?
Is it possible to significantly increase the payload capacity of a Sentinel 2 vehicle?
What kind of necessary parts + work would be needed to make the Sentinel 2 lift a larger payload?
