I recently came across the ModalAI Starling 2 Logis drone deployment featured in the Gather AI warehouse inventory project (https://www.automatedwarehouseonline.com/gather-ai-uses-modalai-starling-2-logis-drones-warehouse-inventory-data/). The use case is very compelling, and I was impressed by the platform's capabilities for autonomous indoor operations and data collection.
At our company, we are developing an autonomous system for warehouse inventory intelligence using drones and AI. We are actively evaluating technologies that could support us going to the market faster. I would be interested in learning more about the Starling 2 Logis platform, its hardware architecture, autonomy stack, and potential collaboration opportunities.
After reviewing the requirements, I would like to learn more about the Starling 2 platform, especially regarding autonomous navigation. More specifically:
- If I have an exact map of the warehouse (a PDF of the warehouse plan or a 3D digital twin of the warehouse), do you offer a feature that can generate a trajectory through multiple waypoints? For example: go to waypoint 1, stop for 1 s, take an image; move to waypoint 2, stop for 1 s, take an image; etc.?
- Can you discuss the accuracy of your VIO algorithm (horizontal, vertical, yaw) and whether specific lighting conditions are required?
Thank you in advance!
