Just to shed some new light on this issue again, we are having the same problem with MAVROS on our VOXL2. We are able to load the example ROS code provided, but the same issues as the post above are given.
We also tried writing some of our own code to arm the drone and takeoff. Arming works fine, but the drone will not takeoff.
Additionally, executing the takeoff command results in the following error:
