Interfaces transfer from VOXL-FLIGHT (VOXL1) to VOXL2
-
On our old VOXL-FLIGHT (VOXL1) based drones, we used
CF20 as bottom Lidar connected to PX4 via J1009 (uart interface)
and
LW20 as front Lidar w/ servo connected to the VOXL (linux driver) – via J11 (BLSP12 uart interface). We also used the MDK-M0030-1-02 (EMEA - WP7607) for LTE connectivity
and
the VOXL 2 I/O exp for RC & PWM.Our new drones are based on the VOXL2
with the same
MDK-M0030-1-02 (EMEA - WP7607) for LTE connectivity
and
the VOXL 2 I/O exp for RC & PWM.We want to use the same uart based Lidars
(LW20 attached to the VOXL2/Linux,
and CF20 as bottom lidar - attached to the PX4).We also want to use the following available interfaces to PX4 (FC) & to VOXL2 (Linux).
VOXL2 interfaces
1.J19 - Spare I2C
Q:What is the Host (Connected to PX4 or to VOXL2)?2.J10 - SPI Expansion - SPI + 2 CS_N pins
Q:How to interface (electrical and SDK)?
Q:What is the Host (Connected to PX4 or to VOXL2)?3.J3-Legacy B2B - QUP expansion, GPIOs & USB3.1 (USB1)
Q:How to interface (w/ / via M0030, mechanical, electrical and SDK)?
Q:What is the Host (Connected to PX4 or to VOXL2 or to Sierra)?4.J5-High Speed B2B - QUP expansion & GPIOS including I2S
Q:How to interface (w/ / via M0030, mechanical, electrical and SDK)?
Q:What is the Host (Connected to PX4 or to VOXL2)?LTE-4G exp interfaces
5.When the M0030 us attached to the VOXL2,
an additional devices appear:
cdc-wdm0
serial
ttyUSB0
ttyUSB1
ttyUSB2
We tried to Interface the serial adapters J2 & J9 (via FTDI-3.3V) to PC, but did not succeed.
Q:How to interface (electrical and SDK)?6.Using a Linux terminal on VOXL2 we were able to connect to ttyUSB2 – the sierra UART int.,
but not to ttyUSB0 & ttyUSB1.
We also were able to connect and Interface USBs J5 & J6 via USB2ETH adapter to eth0 in the VOXL2 - but not as ttyUSBs.
Q:How to interface (w/ / via M0030, mechanical, electrical and SDK)?
Q:What is the Host (Connected to PX4 or to VOXL2)?Thank,
Erez
