Snapshot function in camera-server voxl 2

Hello,
We use voxl 2 and we want to store images from hires camera. Now we read the pipe and write the images using openCV function. We expect that it could be easier and faster using the snapshot function, but that does not work. Should it work? Or is this function not supported yet?Kind regards,
