I am planing on using the TOF depth sensor for obstacle avoidance with an external flight control. Currently for testing purposes I am using the Starling Drone. In the future I want to use it on a custom drone and for that several questions:
We want to make the setup as small as possible, so is the Voxl Mini suited or not? In the description it states Voxl Mini, but below it says future support for Voxl Mini. Would we need to buy additional hardware to connect it to the Voxl Mini or is everything included in the TOF Depth Sensor (https://www.modalai.com/products/m0178?variant=48528287826224). Currently we are using the M0173 VOXL 2, but I don't think this connects with Voxl Mini.
Is there a possibility to extend the length between the TOF and Voxl? I saw the extension cable, but this is only 70mm. Is there a longer version, and if not, is it technically possible to string multiple extension cables (will get quite pricey).
Last question, how good is the TOF sensor working outdoors? Is it reliable enough for good obstacle avoidance without strong jerks and that? In quite many of your documentation I read only about indoor use, but I read somewhere else in the forum where you state it is also possible to use outdoors.
Thank you very much and looking forward to hearing from you
      Erik

I saw this discussion (https://forum.modalai.com/topic/4333/compatible-tof-sensor-setup-with-voxl2-mini) now, which answers some of my question. Thank you for getting back on the rest.
