qvio has not data
-
I am just starting with my sentiel. First powered on and had issues with usb c to usb c cable to my mac. Swicthed to lenovo laptop running ubuntu 20.04. Usb A to Usb c and it is connected fine.
Connected to Wifi and then decided to start looking qvio.
I configured the server (command in the online documentation is wrong)
Docs say: voxl-qvio-server-configure
I beliive the right command is voxl-configure-qvioThere are two questions and I ansered Y to both and then selected #4 to get imu_apps_tracking
Then I ran voxl-inspect-qvio
This is what I am seeing for outputdt(ms) | T_imu_wrt_vio (m) |Roll Pitch Yaw (deg)|features|quality| state| error_codes |
33.3 | 0.00 0.00 0.00| 0.0 -0.0 0.0| 0 | -1% | FAIL | LOW_FEATURESI don't think this is correct.. Any thoughts what issue I am seeing?
I am powered by the power supply - no battery. -
@Paul-Carff I'd be curious if you look at the portal if you see anything through the camera?
We've had some issues on two m500 platforms where the tracking camera is giving fully black frames, which then results in, obviously, poor qvio performance, but only seems to be diagnosable by looking at the camera output.

@jay-miller That's a great suggestion.
@Paul-Carff Ensure that thevoxl-portal
service is running withvoxl-inspect-services
and that your laptop is on the same network as your sentinel.Then, in your browser, navigate to the IP address of the drone in order to pull up the portal web server. There you can navigate to the cameras section to see the output from each of the cameras
as well as the features being detected by voxl-qvio-server via. the tracking camera -

@Paul-Carff I have the same problem over on https://forum.modalai.com/topic/2058/tracking-camera-black-frames (although with m500).
-
@jay-miller OK - I feel really silly
I took some time to dig into this - guess what - there is a little black COVER on the camera. I had to get my magnifying glass out to inspect when I realized it. The yellow tape/tag that was on it when the I first unboxed did not pull off the cover.

@Paul-Carff there are not enough faces to palm in this world... Solved my issue as well!
-
@jay-miller Sorry for the frustration folks! Our production team has been made aware of the issue and will make sure that the lenses are not covered moving forward.

@Eric-Katzfey I think it probably makes a lot of sense to leave it on there and just call it out more in unboxing. We purchased a number of platforms and it only came up with 2 of them.
