VOXL with Snapdragon 821 has various temperatures in thermal zones located in "/sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zones*/temp". Is there a mapping of what each thermal zone corresponds to?

We wouldn't know that off hand. you may find that information in the Snapdragon 821 Datasheet linked to in the VOXL Datasheet here
