I bought a Starling 2 Max, but I couldn’t find the user guide, even after checking your online documentation. I’m unsure how to install the propeller clips, connect the batteries to power it up, and use the controller to make it fly. These seem like basic requirements for getting started. Do you have any documentation on this?

@deeplearning361 it looks like the documentation is still in progress as to how it can be used.

As for the propeller clips you can just remove them by stretching the print at the base and removing them - theyre quite resillient so you wont break them when taking them off.

As for connecting the battery there are holsters on the starling max where the batteries snap into place and then you connect the xt30 adapter (yellow endpoint) into the other xt30 receiver endpoint on the drone to power it on. Once this is done you should hear a fun little chime coming off the esc's as a "Im awake and ready to go" sound.

As for the controller, you just need to double click the bottom piece (provided you went with the commando controller) and hold on the second click - this will power on the controller which should already be bound to the controller. You can then connect the drone to qgroundcontrol to view it via a GCS and then see what buttons correspond to arm vs disarm vs throttle vs yaw etc.

LMK if this helps. In the meantime ill let you know when documentation is in a good spot.

Thanks for the response, but it’s still very unclear. Do you have any pictures or diagrams that could show the details?

In your explanation about the propeller clips—‘you can just remove them by stretching the print at the base and removing them’—what exactly does ‘them’ refer to? What is ‘the print,’ and which part is considered the ‘base’?

As for powering on, I noticed there are two batteries, and each battery has two connectors. I connected one connector from each battery to the drone, and the green light turned on with the blue light blinking. However, I didn’t hear the chime you mentioned. What is the second connector on each battery used for?

As for the controller, I can slide the bottom button to the right, and the green light on the controller turns on. However, I’m not sure what you mean by ‘hold on the second click.’ Could you clarify this?

Also, when you mention ‘connect the drone to qgroundcontrol,’ what does that involve? And what exactly is ‘GCS’? Any guidance or links to documentation on these would be helpful.

Additionally, when I push the left stick on the controller up or down, it stays in that position after I release it, instead of returning to the center. Is this by design? It behaves differently from the right stick, which returns to the center automatically.
