RE: Implementation of follow me feature on VOXL or VOXL2
Dear @Chad-Sweet ,
Thanks for your response. We would like to design it on our own but I have some queries regarding computational power of VOXL/VOXL2.
-
If any feasibility study has been done for implementation of follow-Me features on VOXL/VOXL2 with respect to on-board computational resources.
-
Please let me know if any known issue is there for follow-Me feature implementation.
-
If any functional block has to be build in respect to available functional block on VOXL SDK.

RE: Implementation of follow me feature on VOXL or VOXL2
Thanks for the response.
We have go through VOXL SDK docs and found that there are multiple components available to build solutions for collision avoidance and GPS denied navigation. However we are not able to get any clue on how to implement "Follow-Me" feature.
The detail of our requirement is as follows:
-
The MIPI CSI Hi-resolution camera would be mounted on a gimbal with its MIPI output come directly to VOXL MIPI input. This Hi-resolution camera would be used for video capture as well as object detection.
-
The object detected above shall be tracked by combination of drone and gimbal.
Let us know the top level solution for above where by VOXL SDK software components are listed as well as software components required outside of VOXL SDK. There after we can implement the solution using VOXL SDK.

Implementation of follow me feature on VOXL or VOXL2
Hi,
I would like to implement "Follow Me" feature on VOXL or VOXL 2 using available cameras of Seeker/VOXL m500/Qualcomm Flight RB5 5G Platform/Sentinel drones.
I would like to know :
- Is there any integrated solution available ?
- If integrated solution is not available then which modules are required to implement the feature and their integration steps.
Thanks & Regards,

I2C requirements to add some extra sensors
Hello,
I am building a custom drone using flight core 2, where I need to add some extra I2C based sensors. As per my understanding the flight core 2 have total 4 I2Cs, one I2C is used for power module (I2C3) and other is used in internal sensors (I2C4), I2C1 and I2C2 are available through connectors.
I need to add 3 I2C based IR ToF sensor with fight core 2.
Can I use I2C2 at J10 or I2C1 at J14 ?Is it possible to add IR ToF in bus format of I2C? If possible is there any impact on I2C speed?
Looking forward for your support.
Thanks & Regards,
