Unable to Bind VOXL 2 - Starling 2 to Commando 8 (915 v2) radio

I am attempting (and failing) to bind a Starling 2 to the Commando 8 radio. The Starling 2 appears to have a Ghost (2G4) receiver.
Upon boot - the LED stays indicator flashes purple for 4-5 seconds and then flashes blue for a second and then returns to purple.
SSH attempts…
voxl-elrs —bindStatus light will turn solid blue.
Upon boot while depressing the switch on the Ghost 2G4 receiver the LED status light flashes red-green-blue - then blue x5 - then pale blue/white, and repeats sequence.
Net result: drone does not bind to radio.
The radio was utilized with another VOXL 2 previously. The radio worked well with the other drone.

@MikeR Does your commando 8 have an orq ghost transmitter module connected to it? If it doesn't then it is likely using ELRS which is not compatible with a ghost receiver.
You'd need a orqa transmitter like this one: https://shop.orqafpv.com/products/orqa-orqa-fpv-ctrl-radio-controller
Maybe your other drone had an ELRS receiver on it?
